I have currently finished my research for the project. I found the libraries in Newry and The Belfast Linen Hall Library to be invaluable on my strudy of the Warrenpoint Railway Line. I am still finalising my work, coallating all of my resources and will hopefully be able to share it with you soon.

The research continues...
I am hoping to visit the ulster folk and transport museum this weekend to see if they have any information on the Warrenpoint railway line. I have been trying to get through to the history department for the past few days to check what they might have available but no one will answer the phone.
Tomorrow I am interviewing a former journalist and resident of warrenpoint who used to use the line when he was a young chap. I am hoping he can give me some new information on my topic and perhaps an old photo or two.

Here's an excellent youtube video showing the railway line in operation.

Update Time
So, there has been a lot of changes since I have last posted to my blog and I thought it was about time I updated it.
I have now moved on researching Warrenpoint's old railway line which I found to be a lot more interesting in research than Narrow Water Castle.
I have been coming along quite well in my research, visiting Newry and Warrenpoint's reference library and have I am hoping to meet a journalist from Warrenpoint who used the railway when he was younger.
Here is a picture of the old station in warrenpoint.
The line ran from 1849 to 1966 and I shall be looking at its operation from beginning to end.
